The GAds. Interface customization module combines three small Google Ads tweaks: it fixes the search icon and hides the sign-in prompt in Ad Preview, and displays a calculated remaining amount on a supported account budgets page. You can copy that value with a click.
Each feature can be enabled separately in the PPC Tools Extension settings. Changes are applied automatically to matching elements in your browser. The module does not change bids, spending limits, or campaign settings.
What changes in the interface
Fixing the search icon in Ad Preview
If search or Search appears where the search icon should be, the module displays a magnifying glass instead. The icon is included in the extension, so it does not require an external Google Fonts download.
The feature applies to matching icons on the Google Ads Ad Preview page. If the original icon already displays correctly or the relevant element is missing, you may see no visible change.
Hiding the sign-in prompt
On the same page, the module hides the supported panel prompting you to sign in to Google Ads. This frees up space in Ad Preview.
Turning the setting off restores the panel to its original state. Hiding the prompt does not sign you in or change your account permissions.
Remaining budget display
On a supported billing summary page, the module adds a “Remaining” label and a value next to the amount spent in the account budgets block.
The value uses data displayed in that block: the spending limit, amount spent, and a detected adjustment. Click the result to copy it to the clipboard, for example for a work report or a message to a colleague.
The current implementation detects the page using the Russian labels “Название бюджета” (“Budget name”) and “Сумма затрат” (“Amount spent”). It requires a matching block with a numeric limit and spending data. English and Russian localization of the extension itself does not imply support for every billing page language.
Module settings
All switches are on the module card in the PPC Tools Extension settings.
| Setting | Where it works | Result |
|---|---|---|
| “Fix search icon” | Google Ads Ad Preview | Displays a magnifying glass instead of the text icon search |
| “Hide sign-in panel” | Google Ads Ad Preview | Hides the supported account sign-in prompt |
| “Show remaining budget” | Supported billing summary | Adds a calculated remaining amount that can be copied with a click |
The switches are independent. For example, you can keep the search icon fix and restore the sign-in panel by turning off only “Hide sign-in panel”.
Setting changes apply to an open supported page without requiring a reload. As you navigate within Google Ads, the module checks the page and newly appearing elements again.
Restoring the original appearance
Turn off the feature you want to disable in the module settings. Depending on the switch, the search icon returns to its original appearance, the sign-in panel is no longer hidden, or the added remaining-budget block disappears.
You can also disable the entire module on its card. On pages outside the supported Ad Preview and billing summary views, the module removes its changes.
Your advertising and billing settings remain unchanged. The module controls how elements are displayed and lets you copy the value in your browser.
Things to keep in mind
The module adjusts specific Google Ads pages and elements. It does not change every account table or add a separate budget management system.
The result depends on the interface structure and the available data. If Google Ads changes its page layout, a feature may stop finding the element it needs. If you do not see a change, check the page, the feature’s setting, and whether the data has loaded.
The module card and remaining-budget labels support English and Russian and follow the PPC Tools Extension language. Detection of the budget block currently requires the Russian labels listed above.
For working with reports, there are separate modules for Google Ads search query cleanup and placement cleanup.
